Emmalee's Baptism

Saturday mid-morning we headed to Milwaukee for the rest of our long weekend!  It was Natalie's 1st big road trip and she did pretty good.  She doesn't love riding in her car seat so I was a little worried but she slept 3 out of the 4 hours so that made the trip go pretty good!

It was also Natalie's 1st stay in a hotel.  She did really good sleeping in her pack-n-play till 5:00 a.m. rolled around then she wanted nothing to do with it.  I got up changed her diaper, gave her a couple ounces and then it was in bed with us so Mommy and Daddy could get at least another hour of sleep.  Here is the princess taking over Mommy & Daddy's king size bed.

Her 1st hotel stay was at a Days Inn, nothing fancy but close to Darren & Heather's house so it works!

Sunday morning we got up, got ready and repacked the car then it was onto church where cousin Emmalee was being baptised!  Here is Mommy & Daddy up front watching Emmalee get baptised, we were one of her sponsors!

Darren (Nathan's brother), his wife Heather and their Pastor with Emmalee...

Darren, Heather, Braeden, Nolen and Emmalee...

Emmalee and her parents and sponsors, Mark & Jill Gordan (Heather's brother and wife) and Nathan and I.

Just the 3 of us!

After church we headed back to Darren & Heather's house for lunch and of course cake...

Shortly after lunch we packed up and hit the road since Natalie was ready for a nap!  She again slept most of the way back so we didn't end up stopping at all, that's one long trip back for Mom & Dad but oh well, we made it!  What a great end to a nice long weekend, it was a busy one for us filled with many blessings!

  1. That looked like a lovely time together for both families. I was intrigued by Miss Emmalee's dress - it looks like it is totally crochet. Was it made of the super soft baby yarn?
