Successful Weekend

Minus getting rock delivered early this week we are officially done with our landscaping project.  Nathan and I ended up taking off Friday, it was a last minute decision but one I'm glad we made since Friday's weather was beautiful and Saturday's ending up raining for a couple hours in the afternoon.  After spending about 12 hours outside on Friday and 4 more on Saturday morning we got our project done and it only costed me 2 trips to Menards for block....but that's okay, I love that place!

After....

Since we got our project done by Saturday noon we got to enjoy the rest of the day not playing in the dirt.  We ended up running some errands, buying our new garden fountain, which I just love and then we stopped by my Mom & Gary's with supper.  Sunday consisted of church, working outside and even a quick nap....what a great weekend!

Week #32

Here we are at Week #32, just 8 more weeks to go (we hope).
I reminded Nathan the other night that we had just 8 weeks to go and his response was "we really should have just gotten a dog, that would have been a lot quicker....you decide one day you're getting a dog, find one you like and then a day or two later you go and get it, this waiting 40 weeks for a baby is ridiculous."  You're telling me honey!

This week she is sleeping approximately 90-95 percent of the day, I think that is not the case for our little girl as she is an active one most of the day and sometimes into the night.  Her skin has also become thicker and she continues to become more of a pinkish color.  Most of the wrinkles are disappearing from her face, and there may be a lot of hair on her head (like I've said before....not sure about the hair thing!)  She is now almost 4 pounds and is 17 inches long.

Of course she made out pretty good again this week!  Frannie and Aunt Angie get the "Spoil Baby Rausch" award and she isn't even here yet!  Her bag of goodies included more "pink" stuff and a basket full of shampoo, lotion, and baby wash because her skin is becoming thicker and the fact that it's becoming more pinkish in color.

Thanks Frannie & Angie!

Onto another week....

Father's Day #2

Tonight we had round #2 of our Father's Day celebrations.  Since we all were pretty busy over the weekend we decided to honor Gary tonight.  So Gary, Mom, Chris, Kasey, Angie and Carson came over and we had supper and hung out for a little bit.

Gary's Father's Day gift was wrapped in a Jell-O box......that kept him guessing, what could be inside?

It's a memory stick that he can use in his truck, now he can listen to whatever song he wants to while he's driving.  Thanks again Ang for loading all his CD's/songs onto the memory stick for him, I think once he figures out how to use this new gadget he'll love it!

Supper time.....

I guess the food that was on Grandpa's plate was better.....

Time to head home......Carson says "Should I drive you home Frannie?"

I hope Carson waits a few years and/or till he's tall enough to see over the steering wheel but I see "taxi service man" in his future, he'd be so good at that job.....he already knows where the key goes, how to honk the horn and where the radio is at.....what more do you need to know?

Week #31

Here we are again, a week later!
I can't believe we have just 9 weeks left (give or take).

This week's info says she'll gain weight faster than she'll increase in length.  By now her lung's and digestive tract are nearly mature.  She is a little over 3 pounds and is 16 inches long already!

In this week's gift.....

..........she got baby food, bowls and spoons!

She now has her own little cupboard in the kitchen, this girl is taking over the house, I love it!

This week at my doctor's appointment I had to get blood drawn again because they are watching my platelets, they have been low from the beginning so they are keeping an eye on them.  Also I lost 2.5 pounds, not sure how since this tummy of mine is only getting bigger.  Next appointment is in 2 weeks already!

Today mark's the 2 month mark......2 months away from my due date, I can't believe it!

Weekend Recap.....

We ended up having a nice relaxing weekend, we were hoping to get outside and get more done on our landscaping project but since the weather was cold and rainy we went to Plan B.

Friday night we hung out at home and watching a movie, it's always nice to have a low key Friday night after a busy work week.  Saturday Nathan power washed the deck (something that has been on the to-do list for a while) while I cleaned the house, did the laundry and made some yummy rhubarb crisp.

Our deck looks so different now!

Saturday afternoon we were going to reorganize the garage or mow the lawn but we decided a nap would be better, perfect thing to do on a cool and rainy day.  Saturday afternoon/evening we ran a couple errands and grabbed some supper...it was a mini date night that still got me in bed at 9:30, perfect Saturday evening for me!

Sunday, after church we headed out to Dad and Lanette's house to celebrate Father's Day with him, a week early but with a lot of us having things going on next weekend we decided we'd get together this Sunday.

Dad & Lanette grilled hamburgers and we brought the fix-ins.
Look at the spread.....

Looks like Carl & Carson are enjoying it......

Carson loved to pretend he was a "BIG" boy drinking pop....

After lunch and between sprinkles we enjoyed a couple games of bags.........

Carson was too funny, he wondered where those bags went once they went through the hole....

Guys isn't this an easier way to play?

The Brouwers enjoyed a friendly game of "Cars" Checkers, I think Carl is cheating with that look on his face, what do you think???

We ended our afternoon at Dad's by picking rhubarb, I guess it's back to the kitchen for me.  Rhubarb cake, jam or more rhubarb crisp.....who knows what's on the agenda for me this week!

Sunday afternoon we got another quick nap in and then got the lawn mowed as well!  We ended our Sunday night with a good, yet a little scary "Lifetime" movie...and soon it's off to bed for me!

We enjoyed our low-key weekend, hopefully you had a great weekend as well!

Week #30

We are officially out of the twenties and into the thirties......

She is developing so many different things this week, that's why this week's gift has so many fun things.

Her permanent teeth have developed and are waiting in her gums, so teething gel, toothbrush/toothpaste and a teething ring were included.  She can also grip so strong she is capable of gripping your finger, so baby toys were in this week's bag.  She is also practicing nursing as she sucks her thumb, so pacifiers were included.  I'm hoping she's not attached to the pacifier but we will use it at times if needed.  She also got a new oneies, bib and a cute little blanket.

She weighs almost three pounds now and is approximately 15.5 inches long.

I'm sure these next 10 weeks will go super fast, in a way I hope they do!

Week #29

We are now into our 29th week, I can't believe it!
On Tuesday I went to my last monthly doctor's appointment, now I start going every 2 weeks for the next 2 months, then I'll go every week!

Tuesday was a busy appointment, right away when I got there they weighted me....I found out I gained another 5 pounds this past month, WHAT!?!  At this rate I'm going to be two-ton Tina come August.  If I stop and think about it I've really I've only gained a total of 7 pounds since in the beginning because the first couple of months I lost weight.  I also had to drink the nasty lemon-lime drink for my glucose screening test, which I believe I pasted since I didn't hear anything back from the doctor the last day or so.  They said I would get a phone from them if my test results came back abnormal, which would mean I'd have to go back for the long 3-hour test but they told me not getting a phone call from them was good.....no news is good news I guess.

I ended my doctor's visit by getting my Rho-gam shot, I had to get that since I'm Rh-Negative blood type, I'll have to get another one after I give birth, really....I don't care for shots much!

This week's gift includes....
.....diapers, wipes, traveling changing bag, diaper bags and powder!

The gift is associated with the fact that she can now urinate around a 1/2 a liter of urine into the amniotic fluid everyday!  Are you kidding me?

She also weighs about 2.5 pounds and is 15 inches long.

One thing I've noticed over the past week or so is that she is one active little girl that's for sure!  I have a feeling we have a wild child on our hands.
