Carson's 2nd Birthday Party!

Oh what a fun party we attended on Sunday afternoon/evening!
Cason's 2nd birthday party!
I took just too many pictures (like usual) and couldn't decide which ones to use so I ended up doing some more collages...
Game time - nothing like a good old barnyard bingo game...
Now onto the cake...
Happy Birthday Carson!
We hope you had a great birthday, we sure enjoyed ourselves!
We can't believe you're TWO already!
We love you so much!

Busy Weekend!

We had yet another busy weekend, but it's not over yet!  I am always sad when Sunday afternoon rolls around as that means it's back to yet another fun filled week.  Before I get into the fun of this past weekend, isn't this the cutest painted pumpkin you've ever seen?  This is what Natalie painted at daycare on Friday.
I must say she is one clean painter as she came home with not even a spot of paint on her white shirt.

Now onto the weekend, Friday night we had Mom & Gary, Ang & Carson and Chris & Kasey over for supper to celebrate Gary's birthday.  Here is a snapshot of Mom & Gary with their two cute grandkids, Carson and Natalie...

And this is how we spent our Saturday afternoon/evening, cheering on the Iowa Hawkeyes, too bad they didn't pull off the win!  Isn't Natalie's new tutu along with the matching headband so cute?  This is what Natalie got in the mail this past week from Darren, Heather and the kids in Milwaukee.

Then on Saturday night we carved pumpkins.....

Natalie watching Daddy carve his pumpkin...

Even Mom got in on the "gross" part...

Natalie check out the inside of her little pumpkin....

Here is Natalie with her pumpkins - she gets 2 this year I guess.  The one she painted at daycare and then the one we carved for her, side note the one with the "N" on it is home grown from Great Grandpa and Grandma Sents!

We are decorated and ready to go for the fun of Monday night!

Now we're getting ready to head off to the Brouwers' house for yet another fun celebration.  Carson's 2nd birthday party.  I can't believe he's 2 already!
More to come on later!

1st Boyfriend

So I got to daycare this morning and got the report that Natalie has her 1st boyfriend (I need to get a picture of them two together).  The sitter said she put Natalie and Coehn (who's 2 months older than her) on the floor yesterday to play and when she came back to check on them they were holding hands.

I can just picture it now, too cute!

I'm not sure what her Daddy is going to say about this, I haven't broke the news to him yet!

Dr. Appt

This morning I took Natalie to her 2 month check-up and all I can report is she is one healthy girl.

Here she is getting weighed and measured:

She is weighing in at 13 lbs. 3 ounces and is 24 inches long so that puts her in the 96% for both her height and weight!  Like I said she is one healthy girl!

After the nurse got her measurements Natalie's doctor came in to check her over and said all is well and that we can start giving her a little cereal at night if we want since she is not sleeping through the night yet.  Natalie must like her doctor because she was full of smiles for him and then that "NICE" nurse had to come back in to give her her shots and then she wasn't so happy!  She had 2 shots in one leg and 1 in the other.  Poor girl!  She cried for a little bit and then just gave me that look like "how could you let her do that to me Mom".  Once I got her settled back down we got packed up and headed to daycare, which she fell asleep on the way too - I guess she needed a nap after her rough morning!

Her sitter said she was really good all day, mostly slept the day away, minus a couple diaper changes and 2 bottles the sitter had a pretty easy day with her.  I guess the shots she got this morning made her tired!

To keep it all fair I got my flu shot this morning and even though I wanted to cry I didn't, I stayed strong for Natalie!

I can't believe my baby will be 2 months old this Thursday already!

Weekend Recap

Well here we are on Sunday evening again, how do the weekends go so fast?

We had yet another fun weekend.  Friday night we bundled up and headed to Frannie & Grandpa Gary's house for supper and to hang out with them for a while, here is Natalie sporting her new winter hat, isn't it so darn cute?

Then Saturday while Nathan was working I cleaned, did laundry plus some baking while Natalie slept in till 9:30 a.m. she was tired from her busy week I guess.  Then at lunch time we stopped by Subway and picked up subs and then headed to Daddy's work and had lunch with him.

It was Natalie and I's first time having lunch with Daddy at work...

After lunch us girls headed off to the UNI Dome for the craft fair, it was full of people but we had fun and even picked up a few fun wooden snowmen crafts that I think I'll use as Christmas gifts this year.

We spent Saturday night hanging out at home and watching the Hawks on TV.

Sunday we did church in the morning then headed out to my Dad & Lanette's house for an afternoon of painting.  They recently finished their garage and it was now time for paint.  It is one BIG garage that's all I have to say and we painted till we ran out of paint so I guess we'll have to go back another time.

Here's is part of the garage before....

And during....

This is what Natalie got to do while the rest of us painted, nap with Aunt Kasey!

And now we are back at home, hanging out for the night....watching the Bears play football on TV tonight I'm sure and gearing up for yet another fun filled week!

Look who got her 1st tractor/lawn mower ride....

I think she likes it...

Here's a quick snapshot of our backyard...

7 weeks old

Yesterday Natalie was 7 weeks old, I can't believe how fast time is going.
The weather was beautiful out so we decided a road trip was in order for this cute 7 week old.  We took off right away in the morning and headed north.

Here she is all strapped in and ready to go...

First stop was at Nathan's Grandma's house in Waukon....it was the 1st time Grandma got to meet Natalie.

Then we headed down the block to where Nathan's Grandpa is, the local nursing home.  This was also the 1st time Grandpa Lawrence got to meet our little sweetheart too.  She wasn't the happiest but Lawrence's smile is just priceless.

After lunch we headed onto Prairie for the afternoon, here we are crossing the bridge....

There's the Mississippi River...

Wisconsin welcomes you Natalie, your first time leaving Iowa...

After we got settled in at Mom & Gary's trailer the kids (Carson & Natalie) were due for a naps so we left the guys with them and us girls (Mom, Ang and I) headed to a local Amish store that sold tons of gourds, pumpkins, beautiful mums and lots of apples.

When we got back this is what Daddy and Natalie were doing...

We spent the rest of the afternoon outside watching the Iowa game on TV and hanging out with friends, it was just beautiful outside.  What a better way to spend a fall afternoon.

Before heading home we all headed down the road to try out a new restaurant and it was pretty good.  If you want about 2 pounds of cheese balls this is where you can find them at and they were yummy!

After we were all good and full we loaded up and headed home.  Natalie must have enjoyed her 1st road trip as she was asleep before he hit Iowa and slept most the night!

It was a great fall day full of lots of 1st for our family!
