Blessed Weekend.....

Our "Blessed Weekend" - extra long weekend started Thursday with lunch and a fun hang out day at Papa & Frannie's house....

And after a quick Mommy & Daddy date Thursday evening....thanks to Papa & Frannie for watching the girls we went to a movie, at the theatre - that doesn't happen very often but it was so much fun.  Then we all headed home to crash!

Friday morning we wrote letters to Santa, Addi enjoyed eating the crayons instead (imagine that....)

Then it was onto decorating the tree and getting out our Christmas decorations!

We even decorated a new white tree/snowman and stuck him on our front porch.

Friday evening to headed downtown Cedar Falls to enjoy "Holiday Hoolpa" with thousands of others.

Natalie sticking her letters to Santa in his mailbox.

Santa has arrived....

Friday evening = movie night!

Natalie fast asleep and Addi still going strong....a chance for Addi to pick on Natalie.

Saturday we ran some errands and hung out at home and then in the evening to headed to Grundy for their "Village of Lights" event, such a fun lil' small town dose of fun.

The balloon release, you grabbed a balloon and popped it for the prize!

Then we headed down street to jump on the horse drawn trolley ride.

And we couldn't leave the downtown area without saying "HI" to one of Santa's reindeer that was in town, along with the fat ole' jolly man himself.

And I'm still "SHOCKED" but Natalie sat on Santa's lap and didn't cry (that hasn't happened.....since she was about 4 months old) -  I think it helped that Grayson and his family joined us for the evening and he marched right up there and sat on Santa's lap right before her.  She was SO BRAVE!

Addi on the other hand was not all for it...

Our final day off (today) we went to church, grabbed some lunch and then stayed busy at home in the afternoon - baked cookies, wrapped some Christmas gifts and hung out.

Onto the fun month of December!
