Hudson Days!

We had a great weekend, enjoying some of the Hudson Day events!
Friday night included dressing this "Little Piggy" up so that she and a couple cute neighbor girls could be apart of the Kiddie Parade.
This year's theme was "Down on the Farm".

The Dads got to push the "little pigs" in the parade....

And they even won the "Queens' Choice Award - Winner",
which included coupons for ice cream - yummy!

After the parade we enjoyed pie in the park and also did a little playing!

Then onto a trolley ride...

P.S. Come to find out Grandma this is the same couple that came to Aplington on the beautiful evening in December to give us a ride around town.
"Country Gentleman's Horse Carriage Service" and they remembered us.....
look now they have this awesome enclosed carriage....

Here's a quick snapshot of Frannie, who stopped by to see the Little Piggy off to her parade...she even decided to sport her cute little ears!

Dad & Lanette also came to see the parade,
it was fun having them spend the evening with us!

Then on Saturday we took our now 23 month old to the parade!

Here she is all ready to go.....

Daddy & Natalie ready for the parade to start...

Our friends Brynlee & Brittany joined us as well!

Collecting and/or eating the candy - Natalie favorite were the suckers!

Brynlee busy collecting all the candy!

Cute girls sporting their shades...

After the parade with enjoyed some of the fun in the park,
first stop the petting zoo with lots of different animals!

Then onto lunch, which included watermelon...

and a little of Daddy's ice cream!

One last stop before heading home for a nice long nap was we just had to see what the chainsaw guy was carving......it ended up being a bear!

Thanks to the town of Hudson and the nice sunny weather
we got to enjoy some local fun this weekend......

  1. Those are fun, fun, pictures! I enjoyed your Hudson Days! And Congratulations to "The Piggy" and her pals for winning a prize. Frannie's looking great. So, did the people have those beautiful horses with them for the carriage rides? The ones in your picture don't look as large.
