Memorial Day Weekend...

Busy, busy, busy with a little bit of relaxing made up of our Memorial Day weekend.  We took off right after work/daycare on Friday and headed to Nathan's parents for the night.  Natalie got to pet her 1st puppy (sorry didn't have my camera with me...) she didn't mind it too much - don't worry we aren't getting one, even though Daddy would like a little fur ball around!  Saturday morning we got up and headed to Prairie to spend the day with Grandpa Gary, Frannie, Carl, Angie, Carson & Weston who were up there as well!

The weather wasn't real warm but we headed out on the Mississippi River
for a couple of hours, here is Natalie on her 1st boat ride - she didn't really know what to think of it!

Playing in the sand for the 1st time,
I think she enjoyed the sand as she tired to eat it!

Busy Carson...

Beach bum...

Cutest kids on the beach...

Where did Carson's leg go?

Hi Natalie...

Oh that Mississippi water is "COLD"!

Smile Brouwers...

We headed back home on Saturday night so that we could have a nice relaxing day at home on Sunday.  We worked on the large laundry pile, took naps and did some cleaning but not before enjoying some breakfast together.  Natalie's 1st time having a banana - can you say messy....let's just say she headed right to the bath tub after breakfast!

Mid-morning we headed outside to get some sun....

and a swing ride!

Sunday night we had some friends over and grilled out and the girls got to go swimming for a little bit before it got dark.  Brynlee & Natalie loved it!

Monday we headed out and had lunch with Chris, Kasey and Kaylee
for a little bit.  Natalie just loved the "baby!"

Before we headed home Natalie got her 1st Ranger ride, which she loved!

On the way back home Natalie feel asleep and ended up sleeping 4 1/2 hours, had to wake her up for supper - I think her busy weekend of seeing a lot of family and friends caught up with her!

I hope you had an enjoyable Memorial Day weekend as well!

Thank you to all the service men & women who have served our country...
past, present and future!

  1. After seeing your wonderful pictures I can say that, in my mind, Summer has officially begun. I enjoyed each and every colorful shot. Natalie looks quite grown up sitting in the blow up pool with no one holding her.
