Professional Pictures - 6 month old

On Saturday morning before the wedding we took Natalie to get her

6 month pictures taken and she did such a good job....full of smiles! 

Here are just a few - the gal took over a 100...

This last one is one of my favorites......

6 month old

Natalie is 6 months old today...

....she currently weighs 18 lbs 14 ounces

(according to our bathroom scale)

....is over 29 inches long (according to our tape measurer)

.....still eating cereal at night plus has started having it during the day at daycare this past week too!

...still a drooling fool - no teeth yet!

....is a great sleeper still

....still loves her baths

....is wearing size 3 diapers

....is wearing mostly 9 month clothes

....has become quiet the talker - babbling all the time!

...full of smiles still

....is doing great at daycare, but just a week ago we were told we have to find a new sitter.  The gal she goes to now is down-sizing her daycare.  Haven't found a new daycare for her yet but I'm busy working on it!  

....still loves to roll, has gotten up on all 4's a couple times and seems to move backwards instead of forward for now!  She has almost mastered the sitting up thing too, still falling at times but has come a long way these past couple of weeks!

....is still our cute little thumb sucker

....is really starting to play with all of her fun toys, she got a couple more for Valentine's Day this past month!

....still doesn't like it when we leave the room at times but hopefully she'll grow out of this stage

....something special this past month, actually this past weekend was Natalie attended her 1st wedding.  It was Tyler Nevenhoven & Trista Johnson's wedding back in Aplington/Parkersburg!

Wedding Time

What a beautiful Saturday afternoon in February with the temps in the 40's is was a perfect day for a wedding!  Mid-afternoon we traveled to Aplington for Tyler Nevenhoven & Trista Johnson wedding, it was Natalie's 1st wedding that she attended and she did very good sitting on either my lap or Nathan's lap during the wedding!  Beautiful ceremony with only a couple tears shed...

Natalie survived her 1st wedding & reception. 

With a little cat nap during the reception she did great and we made it till

about 10:00 p.m. before heading home and to bed for the night!

Some 1st...

Natalie is becoming a big girl, almost 6 months old already!  We have introduced the "Sippy Cup" to her, she likes to mostly play with it but every so often she gets a little something out of it - we're just using water for now!

She also has started brushing her gums, no teeth yet but can you believe they have infant toothbrushes and toothpaste out there! CRAZY! 

It's not an every day event but a couple times a week and she LOVES it! 

She is too funny!

Valentine's Day

It's Natalie's 1st Valentine's Day and it's been a busy one (or two days)......

Natalie got this adoreable card from Grandma Sally and some money for her piggy bank in last night's mail, thanks Grandma!

Then last night Frannie stopped by with a new toy for her youngest Valentine,

it's a fun toy - yet a pretty loud one, thanks Frannie!

Here's our cute Valentine bright and early this morning, sporting her fun pink/heart jammies that she got in the mail from her cousins last week...

After daycare/work tonight she opened the gift from us, she got a new outfit too but I threw it in the laundry before I got a snapshot of it.....

We were also busy delivering these yummy homemade red velvet cupcakes to our neighbors after work tonight too...this ones for you Grandma Sally!  Enjoy!

  

And this is what Natalie got in return from the neighbors, a soft little monkey and a sucker that I think Mommy will have to eat for her!

 

Grandpa Mike & Grandma Nettie stopped over tonight too and gave Natalie all kinds of fun stuff - crackers, chocolate and new pj's!  She is one spoiled girl!

What a fun yet busy Valentine's Day we had together as a family of 3!

Sunday's Road Trip

Sunday we took off mid-morning for a fun little day trip. 

First stop was by Nathan's parents' house to pick up his Mom who was going to ride along with us to Waukon to see Nathan's grandparents, his Mom's parents.  While visiting Nathan's grandpa in the nursing home Natalie was in love with the birdies, kicking her legs and of course tapping the fake glass as Nathan was standing a little too close, he keeps forgetting that she has long legs,

He finally woke up for maybe 3 seconds, just long enough for a couple quick pictures with Natalie and that's about it....

The rest of the afternoon consisted of grabbing some lunch, dropping Grandma Carolyn back off at her house where Natalie got to see Grandpa Dennis and then it was on the road again for the last hour & a half drive home.  We finally got home around 7:00 p.m. long day but Natalie did great in the car so that made the trip go very well.  Fun day visiting the love ones we don't get to see very often!

Toys...

We spent most of last weekend playing with all of Natalie's new toys, mostly from Christmas but she is really starting to move herself around and exploring all of her new stuff these last couple of days - of course her favorite things are the remote to the TV & Dad's Jeep magazine still! :) 

Here are a couple of her "real" favorite toys...

Dad thought it would be easier to stick Natalie in the basket of toys so she could see what she all had to play with plus that way she wouldn't keep falling over, what a great idea Dad!
