14 months old

Yesterday, Saturday October 20th Natalie was 14 months old.

What would any 14 month old want to do on her "special" day.....

Well she sleep in till 9 AM, took a bubble bath, played outside,
got some groceries with Mommy, had all her favorites for lunch,
took a nice long 3 hour nap, and watched the "bad" Iowa game at
Grandpa & Frannie's house while enjoying some yummy soup for supper!

What a fun-filled day for this wild girl!

Cars...

Natalie has been getting into Nathan's collection of match box cars lately

and let's just saying I'm hearing a lot of..."oh be careful with that one...",

"don't break the wheels off...." & "oh maybe you shouldn't play with that one....".

I just have to laugh as these are $.96 match box cars from Wal-Mart.

So what did we do on Sunday night, we headed to Wal-Mart with Natalie's gift card from her birthday to get her this "Wheelies Loops 'n Swoops Amusement Park." And she is now having fun playing with her our "little people" cars.

Reading the instructions.....this picture just makes me laugh!

I think she needs glasses if she has to get this close to read the words that or maybe she is trying to read the Spanish side! :)

Come on Daddy let's play with it.....

This is one happy girl!

With a chapped chin due to the extra amount of drool these days,

she has those "big girl" teeth coming in now! Poor baby!

little kitty piano that she got from Chris, Kasey & Kaylee for her birthday.

This morning she had a little concert for us!

Apple Crisp

I don't usually post recipes just because I have so many in my recipe cupboard!

But I just thought I'd share this one as I'm sure a lot of you are busy in the kitchen making that yummy apple crisp due to the fun Fall weather we've been experiencing these last couple of weeks.

Here it goes.....an apple crisp recipe that you bake in the microwave,

yes you read that correctly! Very easy and delicious!

All you need is:

6 lg apples - peeled and sliced

1/2 c sugar

1/2 tsp. cinnamon

Topping:

2/3 c flour

1/2 c oatmeal

1/4 c nuts (optional)

3 T Brown Sugar

1/2 tsp Cinnamon

1/4 c butter

Combine topping ingredients until crumbly. Place apples in a 8-inch dish. Sprinkle sugar and cinnamon over apples. Add crumbly topping on top.

Cook in microwave for 15 minutes on full power.

Garnish with cool whip or ice cream and caramel.

Apple Orchard/Pumpkin Farm

Saturday morning we headed to Prairie to meet up with

Gary, Mom, Carl, Ang, Carson and Weston to hit up a cute little
Apple Orchard/Pumpkin Farm just minutes from their trailer.
What a fun little place it was, just wish the weather
was a little bit warmer so we could have stayed longer but oh well
what can you do about the weather, right?
