7 weeks old

Yesterday Natalie was 7 weeks old, I can't believe how fast time is going.
The weather was beautiful out so we decided a road trip was in order for this cute 7 week old.  We took off right away in the morning and headed north.

Here she is all strapped in and ready to go...

First stop was at Nathan's Grandma's house in Waukon....it was the 1st time Grandma got to meet Natalie.

Then we headed down the block to where Nathan's Grandpa is, the local nursing home.  This was also the 1st time Grandpa Lawrence got to meet our little sweetheart too.  She wasn't the happiest but Lawrence's smile is just priceless.

After lunch we headed onto Prairie for the afternoon, here we are crossing the bridge....

There's the Mississippi River...

Wisconsin welcomes you Natalie, your first time leaving Iowa...

After we got settled in at Mom & Gary's trailer the kids (Carson & Natalie) were due for a naps so we left the guys with them and us girls (Mom, Ang and I) headed to a local Amish store that sold tons of gourds, pumpkins, beautiful mums and lots of apples.

When we got back this is what Daddy and Natalie were doing...

We spent the rest of the afternoon outside watching the Iowa game on TV and hanging out with friends, it was just beautiful outside.  What a better way to spend a fall afternoon.

Before heading home we all headed down the road to try out a new restaurant and it was pretty good.  If you want about 2 pounds of cheese balls this is where you can find them at and they were yummy!

After we were all good and full we loaded up and headed home.  Natalie must have enjoyed her 1st road trip as she was asleep before he hit Iowa and slept most the night!

It was a great fall day full of lots of 1st for our family!

  1. It looks like you had a wonderful cap for your stressed week of a new job and angst of leaving Dolly at day care. Thanks for pictures of life at the river; it helps me vision the happenings of your lives. Smooches to Natalie from Grandma Sally.
