Surprise Weekend!

Saturday morning we were packed up and ready to go at 9:00 a.m. sharp.....

Mom & Gary picked us up with the truck all decorated for the

"surprise weekend" away - we loaded up the truck and headed west.

Pit stop in Wellsburg to meet up with the Brouwers

then we continued on the road to........

 

 

DES MOINES!

1st stop Jordan Creek Mall for lunch....



Onto the fountain in the mall where Carson & Natalie emptied

Grandpa & Frannie's pockets....."we need more monies..."

After walking the mall for a while we headed to our next stop -

a hotel with a WATERPARK.

We tried to get the kids down for a quick nap before headed to the water,

Carson was a good boy and took a nap - Natalie on the other hand

didn't want to miss anything so no nap for her!

 

Here we are enjoying the waterpark, even lil' Kaylee had a great time

and really enjoyed the water, she let us know it too with her

cute little screams of excitement.....

 

 

 

Supper we ordered pizza from the hotel restaurant and hung out in our hotel room and enjoyed a night of relaxing of course ending our evening with a little (okay a lot) of DQ ice cream - thanks Gary & Carl!

 

Sunday's surprise included a beautiful day at the zoo....



 

It was a great day (weekend) full of fun!



Ending our weekend trip with lunch at the Machine Shed on the way home,

nothing ends a good weekend with a little snickers cheese cake!

 

 

What a great family weekend away and an awesome "surprise" weekend for me!

Thanks again for my wonderful family!

 

I guess turning 30 isn't that bad.....
