This past week both Nathan and I had Thursday & Friday off so we took off Thursday around noon for a little "mini family vacation".
1st stop was McDonald's play place.....
Natalie's 1st time playing on some McDonald's equipment!
Then it was back in the car and we were off to Dubuque,
quick stop at the Mall - must stop by the play area to run off some energy!
As we were leaving the Mall we found the local Humane Society had some kittens in the window that Natalie just had to check out!
And Nathan found this cute little puppy that he just had to play with for a little bit!
After the Mall we were off to the hotel, Natalie's new love is riding on the cart!

Friday we headed to the "National Mississippi River Museum & Aquarium".

Mommy even lifted a snake!
Then we headed to the 4th Street Elevator,
took it down - walked the streets a while and then headed back up!

Good-Bye Dubuque - it's been fun!
What a fun couple days away and a fun couple days at home this past weekend, tomorrow it's back to our "normal" routine - can't believe it's October 1st already!
Gosh, I sure enjoyed seeing snapshots of your mini-vacation for I can see Natalie growing up before my eyes and most of the sights you visited were familiar. Always fun to read your chronicle.
