Addison is 9 months old...

Today Addison is 9 months  old...

....she currently weighs 22 lbs.
(according to our bathroom scale)

....is around 28 inches long
(according to our tape measure)

.....is still my lil' eater - only table food now.....loving fruits and vegetables the most.  Addi tries to steal whatever Natalie is snacking on as well!  She still isn't much of a bottle drinker during the day just has one good one before bed.

....still sporting just 2 bottom teeth

....is still doing "pretty" good at night, still going through weird patterns at nights though.  So I let her cry it out the other night (that's after I had rocked her to sleep and tried putting her bed three separate times) and she did end up "giving" up but when I went to check on her I found she had threw up watermelon (all over her floor) probably due to the fact that she had her self all worked up and that she had probably whole watermelon herself for supper that night.....but she had put herself back to sleep....in a sitting up position - head between the legs...yeah picture that!

....still sporting size 4 diapers

....is wearing all 12 months clothes now

....she is my happy girl....most of the times - if she's not happy there is a problem (hungry, tired and/or Natalie is bothering her, which is happening more and more all the time lately)

....my lil' mover....into everything and I mean EVERYTHING!  Mastered stairs and is pulling herself up to anything and everything!

....celebrated Father's Day and 1st Day of Summer.

...fun things we've done this past month - went to a couple of parades, built and played in our new playhouse, went on walks, had Jamie & Grandma Sally plus the Brouwers over for brunch, had 1st sack lunch and swim day at daycare, had the Brouwer boys overnight for a sleepover, watched Natalie at dance class, went to the nursery for the 1st time at church and took an overnight trip to Prairie and stayed in Papa & Frannie's new house.

Happy 9 month birthday baby girl!

We love you!

1st Weekend of Summer!

Well we survived the 1st weekend of Summer and it was a busy one,
so busy I didn't even have time to take many pictures - sorry!
Nathan had the whole week off of work and I took off Thursday and Friday so we could get some stuff done around home.  Thursday and Friday we slept in, took the girls to daycare late and got to work right when we got back home....Thursday of course it rained - I mean poured most of the day,
the day we were going to get some landscaping done.
Well we didn't let a little rain (and lightening) stop us - we laid brick,
loaded and unloaded rock and moved plants around, we didn't get everything done but we got a great start.  I even got the play house door painted!

Friday I got some work done in the house and then mid-afternoon we decided to pack up and pick up the girls from daycare and head north for a quick trip to Prairie.  We wanted to check out Papa & Frannie's new pad up there plus help them do some packing & moving so that's what we did.

Like I said too busy working and/or having fun to get any pictures of the house, did snap this picture of the "BIG" old bridge as we waited to pick up our boating princess from the dock.  We let her go out with Papa, Frannie and some of their friends for a quick boat ride before we headed back home on Saturday afternoon.....it was a fun yet quick trip!

And this was our view on the way home....taking home one tired lil' girl!

Saturday night we had some friends over for supper and we played outside.
Sunday we hung out at home, mostly inside as it rained (or poured) off and on most of the day, it was nice to get some odds and ends done around the house before heading into another work week.  We ended our Sunday evening eating watermelon (Addi's new favorite food) and heading to bed early!

Hope you had a good 1st weekend of Summer as well!

Father's Day.....Weekend!

We celebrated our Daddy and other Dads in our life ALL weekend long,
started off by taking our Daddy out for supper and to the
My Waterloo Days parade on Friday night...

I love this picture of Natalie, always looking up at her Daddy....

Heading to the parade - chair in hand...

Brynlee & Natalie enjoying the parade...

We even got to enjoy the hot air balloons as they went up during the parade...

Having fun at the splash pad/park area after the parade...

Pit stop for ice cream after the parade,
even Addi got to enjoy a taste of a lil' vanilla ice cream cone tonight...

Saturday after running a few errands in the morning we headed down the street to hit up the neighbor girls' lemonade stand....
here's a cute picture of Natalie digging out her money for Mieke.

In the afternoon we played outside for a bit but then headed in for naps,
this is Miss Addi's favorite window to look out - she was so excited when she spotted Daddy working in the back yard.....thinking I don't need a nap Mom!

Saturday night we had Papa over for supper - us girls made home made pizza, played outside for a bit and then had yummy rhubarb cake for dessert.
Here's Natalie assisting Papa as he opened his lil' gift.

Then Sunday (Father's Day) we headed to Aplington after church
and had lunch at Grandpa & Grandma Sents' house - we also got to play with cousins and hang out with this Papa.

This was my view from the front seat on the way home, one tired lil' girl.
It's hard work keeping up with all those "walking" cousins.

Then Sunday night we honored our "special" Daddy - we played outside,
had supper on the deck and let him open a special gift...

Happy Father's Day to ALL the wonderful Father's in our life!

Side note: On Father's Day us girls got in the "almost done" playhouse to do some decorating - more to come on that but here's a "sneak peak"...

So many fun colors going on in this lil' house!

Aplington Days

Tuesday night we travelled to Aplington to enjoy the parade and a few rides.  It was Natalie's 1st time on a "ride" and I think she enjoyed it as her and Carson didn't want to get off.  They kept running back for more tickets....hard concept to understand at the age of 2 - needing tickets for every ride and jump.

Don't worry Addi girl we'll be the one on the go next year!

Natalie's on a big girl...

BIKE!

Nathan bought this bike from a bubby months ago and over the weekend Natalie decided (on her own) that it was time to try it out so we went up and down the sidewalk and the driveway most of Sunday and she did pretty darn good, very good at using the break.

Kick-Off to Summer

Today marked the "official" kick-off to Summer at daycare as it was the girls' 1st cold lunch day for the year.  Every Wednesday till the end of August the kids at daycare (including Addi now that she prefers "big girl" food) has to take a cold lunch to daycare.  Along with cold lunches they get to take their swimming suits and in the afternoon (weather pending of course) each class gets 45 minutes in the water.  Natalie's class didn't get to enough swim day today as the weather was pretty cool and rainy but hopefully next week they can enjoy the water!

Here are my two cuties heading out the door this morning,
cold lunches in hand...

Oh too be a kid again!
