Well today was Natalie's first day at daycare, a really hard day for Mommy - that's for sure, hopefully they get easier for all of us!
Here she is all buckled in and ready to go...
Nathan picked her up right after work and said she didn't look real happy, a little sad...hopefully that doesn't mean she had a bad day! She didn't nap like she usually does, I'm guessing she isn't used to all the noise from the other daycare kids but hopefully that changes and she starts to sleep through it.
Once I got home we hung out for a little bit and then went on a walk, had a bath and then spent some time snuggling on the couch before she crashed. Maybe her busy day will make her sleep through the night?

Back at it....
Well today was my 1st day back to work and if that's not hard enough it was at a new job. Actually the day went pretty good, I think I'll catch onto the work fast or at least I hope I do.
Our sitter called us last night to say that her daughter had been throwing up all day so we had to go to Plan B for the day. Frannie came to the rescue, thank you Frannie! I think both Natalie and Frannie had a great day together and it actually made me feel a little about leaving her being that she'd be spending her 1st day away from me with my Mom instead of a stranger.
My desk now has this beautiful fall flower arrangement on it thanks to my wonderful husband and daughter!
On to Tuesday, another hard day I'm sure but hopefully over the next couple of days or weeks it will get easier for me. Tomorrow Natalie is onto the sitter, hoping she'll have a great day!

Sunday!
This is how we started our morning, dressing Natalie in her cute little Chicago Bears cheerleader outfit and headed off to church.
After church we grabbed a couple groceries then headed home where we had lunch and watched the Bears game in which they won. We also did some odds and ends around the house while Natalie napped for most of the day, I guess she is stocking up on sleep before her BIG day tomorrow, 1st day at daycare.

Saturday Fun!
We had a busy yet very enjoy Fall Saturday!
This morning bright and early I did the Breast Cancer 5K Walk downtown Cedar Falls. What a beautiful morning it was with the sun shining so bright.
Me, Angie, Mom ad Kasey ready for the walk...
Look at all the people...
Here comes Angie and Kasey, good job girls!
After I got back home Natalie was so alert and wanted to be held up-right so Nathan ran upstairs and got an old walker that I used when I baby-sat kids at my house out of the closet and we tired that on her, she liked it for a little bit.
Having fun...
This afternoon our neighbors brought us these beautiful fresh mums, so I added them to my kitchen counter. I love Fall!
We also went on a walk this afternoon and spotted these pretty trees right down the street from us.
Natalie was wide awake when we started our little walk but soon fell asleep, I guess she finds our walks very relaxing!

Friday!
Well I'm sad to report it's Friday already, end of my last week at home with Natalie. We did have a great week as a family, enjoying the little things.
We went for a walk/run one afternoon, which ended at some friends' house. Natalie got to try out her jogger stroller and I think she likes it!
We had some extra cuddle time on the floor, reading books, talking and laughing together. She is so alert these days!
We also made some apple crisp, yummy! I actually found a recipe that is super easy which includes baking it in the microwave - love it. We found time to clean the house, work on the large laundry pile plus work on Natalie's scrapbook, it's turning out pretty cute!
Last night we enjoyed an extra long bubble bath, she is really enjoying her baths these days!
Ms. Smiles...
Look she found her tongue...
Hi Daddy!
We also took a trip to Grandpa Mike's work, finished decorating the house for fall, walked main street in Cedar Falls, in the wind...that's hard to do with a stroller. We got a Scratch cupcake, another yummy! We visited Frannie and Grandpa Gary one evening. Natalie almost slept all night, at least went 7 hours without a bottle, that's pretty good! We went to my doctor's appointment yesterday where she got a lot of attention from the nurses, even gave them a smile or two.
Then today we went and got her 6 week pictures taken (I'll share those in the next post) shopped a little at the mall, got lunch together and ended our afternoon with Nathan and Natalie enjoying a nap together on the floor, looks like Daddy likes Natalie soft blanket too! :)
Onto the weekend where I hope we get to spend more time together as a family!

Lots of firsts....
Our weekend consisted of "lots of firsts" for our family. Friday night Natalie stayed overnight with Grandpa Gary and Frannie, first time staying away from Mommy & Daddy. She also got to spend most of the day on Saturday with them while I went to Des Moines. I had a great day seeing Brandie's new house, hanging out with her and doing a little shopping while Natalie had fun with Frannie and Nathan worked, I'm sure he had fun there!
Then Sunday we went to church in the morning and Natalie actually woke up during the service, which is a first....she usually sleeps through the whole thing. After church we headed home for a couple of hours and then it was off to the John Deere's 5K, which Nathan ran in, his first 5K ever.
Here is Nathan and Natalie hanging out by a tractor, which they had on display in the parking lot before the race began....
On your marks, get set......
Go!
And here's to the beginning of my last week at home with Natalie before heading back to work next week. We have a couple errands that we need to do and a doctor's appointment for me this week otherwise my week consisted of hanging out with her.

And here he comes...
Great finish honey, a 3.1 mile run under 29 minutes, a lot better than I could do, that's for sure!
