1st Day of a New School Year!

And here they are ready to go...another fun-filled year ahead!

Quick flashback to last year....oh they were so little! :)

Birthday Weekend....

 

I'd say I have been celebrating my birthday all weekend long really, starting off with Friday as I had the day off with the girls since daycare was closed.  We spent the morning out and about, running errands and having fun in the rain....

 

 

1st stop was to Barnes & Nobles, where we got to play on the train table....

 

pick out books...

 

 

and have a special cookie snack.

 

 

Natalie got a gift card in the mail for her birthday (thanks again John & Denise) so there were a couple of the fun new books Natalie got to pick out with her "own card".

 

Next stop was to PetSmart....

 

to pick out 2 new fish for the tank at home as we lost one a weeks ago.

 

We ended our morning by grabbing a few groceries at Wal-Mart....

 

Then we grabbed a quick lunch and then it was home for naps/rest time.

That late afternoon Frannie stopped by to pick up the girls as they got to stay overnight with her at the "river house" - Nathan and I went out to a movie, which was very fun including popcorn and pop all to ourselves......and I just realized no pictures where taken!

 

Saturday morning we loaded up and headed to meet up with the gang for a day of hanging out and/or boating on the water, even though the sun didn't show it's face much it was still a great day out on the water.... 

 

 

and yes I (Natalie, Grayson & Laurie) even tubed toward the end of the day.

 

Then it was home we headed Saturday night.

Sunday we got up headed to a special church service our church had at the Gallagher-Bluedorn Performing Art Center, where of course cried as it was a very touching service.  On the way home we had van trouble and had to have a friend come and rescue as....getting to the point where you just want to go home and go back to bed and start the day over.  We finally made it home, had some lunch and then hung out before heading out to daycare to drop off school supplies and meet the girls' new daycare teachers - tomorrow starts the 1st day of the new "school year" for them.

Addison will be heading to the 2 year old room and Natalie is off to Pre-K.

 

And this was the view in the back of the truck on the way home from meeting the new teachers, what says "we had a fun weekend" more than this snapshot?

 

So all in all, even though today there was some

bumps in the road it was a great birthday.....weekend!

Carnival Time...

Last night we celebrated Natalie's 4th birthday in "Carnival" style, she had tons of family & friends here to celebrate with her and I think we all had a great time.....check out our evening!
