Together Tuesday - Week #4

Last night's craft....

We're getting ready for Valentine's Day!

Addison is 4 months old...

Today Addison is 4 months  old...

 

....she currently weighs 16.5 lbs.

(according to our bathroom scale)
 

....is around 25 inches long
(according to our tape measure)

.....she is a great eater, downing 7 oz bottles every 4 -5 hours

....still a sleeper, taking her one to two good naps during the day and then heading to bed around 8:00 pm/8:30 pm (she's actually moved that bedtime up a little since last month) and then sleeping through the night!

....still sporting size 2 diapers but only till this pack is gone
then we're moving her on up to the 3's

....wearing 6 month clothes still
 

....loves to smile and has the cutest lil' giggle and gets so excited when

Natalie talks to her (very closely, which is all the time), she also has become quite the drool bug lately, not sure if she is going to get her lil' teeth early or what but can you say "WET" shirt - all the time!

 

....loves just about everybody, Natalie, Mommy, Daddy,
Grandpas, Grandmas and those lovely daycare gals

....is still enjoying daycare and I think is getting better with all the noise that goes on in that room plus is getting to know all her teachers, giving them BIG smiles when we get there in the mornings now

....didn't celebrate any big holidays this past month - we just hung out at home playing on the flooring and getting Addi's jumper out as the weather has been too darn cold outside to do anything fun out there and/or out and about.

....Addi did have her 1st hotel experience this past month as we travelled to Peoria (that being one of her longest car rides too) for a family weekend away with most of my extended family - we all had a great time and she did great even though her 1st night was a little rough, I guess she knows already when we're not at home and/or in her own bed.

No Plans Weekend...

This is what happens at our house when we don't have any plans for the weekend and with the cold temps outside we don't even feel like leaving the house.....since I came home from work on Friday this morning was the first time we left the house and it was to go to church and we came right back home,
plus I just got word that my office is closing tomorrow so I guess it's another "snowed in" day for us girls as we're sending Daddy off to work!

 

Now back to our weekend, we did a little of this and a little of that...
put away all the snowman home decorations,
in hopes that this lovely Iowa weather would finally go away....

 

 

 

it's onto the red-heart decorations for a few weeks!

 

We baked cookies...

 

My lil' helper even ran off licking the spatula!

 

We made heart crafts...

 

what's a lil' construction paper, tissue paper and glue....Natalie loves glue!

 

Had strawberries in cones - a 2 in 1 snack for this silly girl!

 

Colored with some fun new paper & markers that Papa & Frannie

dropped off on Saturday night...

 

Took Sunday afternoon naps..

 

Did up snowman cheese sticks for Natalie's daycare friends!

 

Aren't those cute?

 

And we ended our Sunday evening with cheesy-potato soup in one crock-pot and a yummy cake mix/cherry dessert in the other.

 

And that's what our "no plans weekend" looked like!

 

 

 

 

Game On Daddy.....

Nathan and Natalie were busy having fun with an inside "homemade" game the other night....what's more fun then tape, straws and some pom poms?

And then Natalie got a hold of the camera

 and got this cute shot of me and Addi...

And of course a "good" picture of herself!

Together Tuesday - Week #3

Here's this past Tuesday's art project, now hanging so nicely on my sliding glass door in the kitchen....now look at that "BIG" white foot - aka snowman!

Teddy Bear Parade

Last Friday morning I got to watch this cute Teddy Bear PJ Parade at
Natalie & Addison's daycare....it was short yet so sweet!

 

Lots of cuties in their PJ's marching through the hall hanging onto Teddy Bears!

 

Weekend of Fun!

What a great weekend we had with family we haven't seen in a while,

nothing is better than a road trip with great January weather,

a wonderful hotel stay and awesome family time...I have the type of family that can go weeks and/or months without really talking to each other little only seeing each other to meeting up for a whole weekend and everybody getting along great - catching up with each other right where we left off....let's just say I haven't laughed that hard in a long time and I've feeling the lack of sleep tonight, but it was all so well worth it!

Saturday morning we loaded up and traveled just a few miles away from our hotel to the Peoria Civic Center for a couple hours of fun at the Family Fest, there was a little bit for everybody there - great way to wear out the kids

(and their parents)....

After reading a story to our engaged couples and blessing them

with a tote full of goodies it was Grandma's turn to do her game,

After some supper it was "Hello Kitty" birthday party time!

After supper we played a "serious" game of Family Feud, I was bummed that I didn't get any pictures but there was no time for this host as these families (Twinkies & Saint Elmo's Fire) kept me wait too busy....this is when the true colors of our family really came out!  :)

 

Since we all were a little hot we thought a dip in the pool (again) was in order, here's Addi swimming laps with Daddy!

This morning (Sunday) we gathered for breakfast, packed up and headed our separate ways.....heading home with memories of another fun family get together, I'm so glad so many of us were able to make it!
