Happy Birthday Papa!

A couple Saturday nights ago we had a little birthday party for Papa who's turning 70 today, it was a Hawkeye theme party in which we hung out and watched the game.....and the Hawks almost pulled off a win, next time guys!  Grandma Sally was also in town then so she got to celebrate with us!

Carson's 4th B'day Party

This past Saturday we spent the evening at the Brouwers' house celebrating Carson's 4th birthday and what a fun party it was....

Truck or Treat!

Sunday late afternoon/evening we headed to Natalie's daycare/church for our 1st ever truck-or-treating......I'm guessing everybody was thinking the same thing since the weather was just awesome.....because we had to stand in line for a while but in the end we had fun - even invited our friends the Asche's to go along with us.
 

 

Onto a week of fun and probably lots of candy.....

 

 

 

Addison is 1 month old....

Today Addison is 1 month  old...

 

....she currently weighs 10 lbs.

(according to our bathroom scale)

 

....is around 21 1/2 inches long
(according to our tape measure)

.....she is a great eater, downing a 5 oz bottle every 3-4 hours

....loves to sleep, still in that sleepy baby stage but when she's awake she is wide a wake - taken it all in, I think she's going to be "nosey" like her sister!

....has moved up from newborn to size 1 in diapers

....I've started putting away some of her newborn clothes already (kind of sad) due to her length, just like her sister I think she's going to be a tall girl, so she has been sporting some big 0-3 months stuff lately as it's still a little big

....has just started giving us some fun little girly smiles these last couple of days

....loves her big sister (and her Mommy & Daddy) too and is really starting to recognize us

 

Addison has been a perfect little fit into our family and we've enjoyed her so much, I can't believe how fast this last month has gone.

Natalie's 1st ER Visit!

This week has been a long week for the Rausch Family, Monday night Natalie fell on the bottom step of our basement stairs....long story short that resulted in us hanging out at Allen's Emergency Room for 3 hours Monday night. 

Good news was her arm/wrist wasn't broke, just bruised and/or she has a muscle that is torn so it's going to have to heal on it's own, which may take a couple of weeks.

 

Here is my good patience hanging out on Daddy's lap waiting for the x-ray results to come back...

 

 

So now that we are on Friday I'm happy to report just last night she started using her arm/hand again....she was even caught sucking her thumb again, the poor little thumb got a couple days off...I'm so happy that she is finally feeling better and/or using her arm again, it was a long week of watching her hurt.

 

 

 

Sisters for life...

I just know these two will be the best of friends as they have formed a great little bond already and Addison isn't even a month old yet!
